Because we want to know our ping before we fight like me. I’m always unsure if I’m not lagging or not. Also if you are playing on Badlion for hours (A.K.A @Robiswell) you would want to check your ping.
Idk if other ppl do this but if I’m having a friendly fight, and one of us are lagging, we check with /ping instead of disconnecting.

Also to add on, I have seen these threads many times, and archybot himself has stated that the reason they have not added this is because it is very inaccurate. The ping command on minecraft is apparently broken. If they somehow fix it, they might add it.Posted on 28 November 2017 - 10:22 PM
