On August 25th of 2016, LENAvision contacted me on discord to tell me I was accepted as a UHC trainee. I was beyond excited to start a new journey here on Badlion, as a part of the staff team I had looked up to for years. I got an incredibly warm welcome from everyone on the team when I first joined and I was so happy to be a part of it all. Everyone was kind, helpful and very caring overall. I started to help out in my first games and I really loved to be there and help. I quickly found hosting to be amazingly fun and something I always looked forward to doing. I did lose so motivation due to IRL problems and such bit I tried to be active as I could be.I applied for tournament in Early December and after a few weeks I was messaged by Varicks letting me know I was accepted. The tournament team was the same way, filled with amazing people and awesome personalities. I eventually left UHC in January to be tournament only for the time being and give myself more needed time.
I ended up coming back to UHC in May of 2017 and I fell in love with hosting once again. I started to be more active and I had far more enjoyable games doing just that. I hosted actively until August where I took an LOA since my senior year of high school was starting. I took the month off to focus on being prepared and making sure I could balance my time
Becoming CM: On the last day of August, right after I came back from LOA, @Archybot messaged me to let me know I was accepted as a community manager. I was beyond excited and I was so glad to join the team I had been looking up to the most. I got incredibly nice greetings from everyone else on the team and we took our time for fun before getting serious. I immediately began working with the team doing everything I could to help the server. We all had things to do and we did our work, I loved every moment of it. I loved working with the community and being a helpful face people could turn to when they needed staff. I was most active on helping people over discord, messaging 2-15 people every day. I worked with new faces almost daily and I got to help them whenever they needed it.
Soon after I started working with the player council also. I love that group of people, they are going to be a great help for the server. we discussed all kinds of things and it all really helped the staff team and the server. They all had their own angles on things and talking to them daily was always something I looked forward to. I think the Council is going to do great things for the network.
And here I am today, resigning after one year and a little over three months. I remember being so nervous, joining the team with so many hard workers and familiar faces. I was so scared to deal with all the other staff members because I thought I would be easily over shadowed. Turns out I did not have to worry, the team had incredibly hard workers and they made us all feel welcome. I loved the staff team and all of it's members, they are such an amazing group of people I can't even use enough words for them. I could thank so many people here and I probably will, but there are some I want to shout out here.
Archy, Thank you, for accepting me and giving me a chance. I'm not sure what you saw when you accepted me as CM but I'm beyond thankful you did. I'm so thankful for everything you have done for me during my time here and I know you have great things coming. You have an amazing group of people here and I can see you going so far with all the help you have on your staff team. I wish you the best of luck in making this game an esport, or running a great server. I know you can do both.
LENA and Varicks, Thank you both for giving me my start here on the team. You two accepted me and I'm so grateful for that. You two gave me my time here and I will never be able to repay you.
@AmandaWest You are probably my best friend here. I knew you when I was barley staff and before you were accepted. I loved talking to you from the moment I started and I am go glad I haven't lost contact. You have been there for me through so much and you know how thankful I am. I'm so grateful to have someone like you in my life and I hope we can keep talking for a long time. You're so amazing in so many ways and you know just how I feel about you, thanks you.
@Reesb Another one of my closet friends here. You and I are basically the same person. We have so much in common and we think the same half the time. I'm glad I started talking to you because I loved the moment it started and I have ever since. You can relate on so many things and I'm so grateful for all that you are. I can't say thank you enough mate.
There are many more people I will be messaging but these are my biggest ones I thought of here. My two best friends here and the people who made the person I am today. I have taken so much away from my time being here, I have learned things I can apply to my real life outside of this game. I have made unforgettable memories and irreplaceable friends. This staff team has done so much for me and I don't know if I can really express my full gratitude.
Reasons for leaving: I am leaving for many different reasons. I'll post the main ones here.
I am burned out
I have been on badlion and with the server for years now, I still do love it 100%. I just want to move on for now. I want to travel elsewhere and see where life will take me when I focus less time here. I'll still play just not as much. I have watched badlion grow from the beginning to what it has become today and it's magical. I know it's going great places, but I need my break.
IRL
I have a lot of real life issues and personal problems I need to address. I can't do that completely when I am so active here. I need to take some time to figure myself out and what I will do in the future. I need to make sure my life is what I want it to be and send it on the right path. I just need some time for me and some time to make sure I will be ok.
These are my main two reasons, there are more but I prefer to keep those between me and my close friends. Once more, Thank you to everyone here for making this such an incredible experience and something I really could not have seen better in my own head. i'll still be around just not as much.
