The event has been concluded. Below is a rundown on the feedback we have received.Tournament livestreams:
Needs to be noob friendly to retain newer and less experienced players. There needs to be different castors who know, and are experienced, with the game. These castors need to also have an exciting "Youtuber personality" so that the streams can be exciting. There should be streams in different languages.Other events should be held during the livestream (QnA's and/or strawpolls for predictions).Tournaments in general:
No more automated tournaments.Longer tournaments should have group stages, and should go over the course of a about a month.Tournaments should not last more than 8-7 hours each day, and should be kept to about 5 hours if possible.Tournaments should be advertised in Badlion's discord and website more (tournament announcement channel, and banner on the front page of the website). There should be more dedicated Youtube advertisement for tournaments.ESL's resources should be utilized more for larger resources (ESL's twitch accounts, ect.).There should be a balanced set of tournaments. Meaning, don't prioritize OCN gamemodes as much over arena and other gamemodes.Minecraft's competitive future:
3 main gamemodes should be focused and prioritized for Minecraft's competitive scene. These gamemodes should include 1 block interaction based gamemode, 1 map based gamemode, and 1 mechanical skill based gamemode. There needs to be a fun semi-competitive entry gamemode to get arena/UHC players into the competitive scene.People need to start caring about tournaments more, and overall gain a greater sense of competitiveness. Player profiles showing which team they're apart of, and showing different teams somewhere on the Badlion website and in game (as well as showing some sort of leaderboard for these teams) would give teams the incentive to be the best and overall increase competition.Casters need to emphasize teams and their players more on tournament livestreams.OCN gamemodes:
Make gamemodes more fun to watch and play. The casual variants of these gamemodes should be more fun and enjoyable to play, while also acting as a bridge into the competitive scene.Maps currently favor a defensive style of play for the most part. Future maps should be aimed to favor offensive, fast paced, and explosive styles of play.Arena:
Mini tournaments should be held at the end of the season.SG:
Different map routes should be equally as op.Future maps shouldn't be smaller. They should be large/medium sized.Supply drops need to spawn in flat ground that doesn't have any structures near it to encourage fighting, as well as make fights more fair.Default settings need to be changed.Cobwebs should be removed in clanwars, or they should generally be nerfed by making them only available in tier 3 supply drops while also making them breakable.Bedwars:
Make the PvP less void oriented than typical bedwars.Islands should generally be closer together.Islands should also be bigger and more flat.OP/higher tiers of armor should be really difficult to obtain to encourage less void oriented PvP.PUG's:
There should definitely be an official PUG system. There should be some elo/rating system involved with them. They should be automated. There should be alternating queues (Dom one day, CTW the next day, CTF the following, as an example), or a system where you can queue for different gamemodes at the same time.Other:
There should be some sort of competitive league system. Or at least, there should be some adopted features of a league system in normal Badlion. There should be more information given on player profiles about tournaments won, and stats.Feel free to discuss, and give your own opinions, about the following topics and points listed above.
