So my computer fan is super loud and doesn't work too well either. It heats up my room and sometimes my PC crashes since it overheats a lot. (I have a program where it shuts off if it's too hot) I know a lot of u know about computers and I want to get a better fan for my computer but I need some good choices and I don't know where to start. My budget is 150$ and I have windows PC. (I'll get specs later if that info is needed.) Thanks for reading! -LimeLast edited on 10 January 2018 - 11:25 PM by WavyGelato
Hey Lime! The brand Zalman has some highly rated products at a solid price. I'd recommend checking them out.
Specifically I'd choose the Zalman CNPS9900LED Universal CPU Cooler.
I was building a computer for my little brother and I bought this for the build, and I personally like it more than the one I have for my own because it generates minimal noise. I reckon you won't be having these overheating problems after implementing this into your computer. :D
I wish you luck on your search!

It’s been loud since day 1 and the problem has always been the same. I don’t think that is the problem

A decent CPU can be paired with a cheap, poor quality heat-sink (or a complete absence of one, as commonly found in cheaper, small-factor desktop units). It would not be unreasonable to assume this is the case.

So it might not be the fan that is the problem? I'll try to give specs this weekend
