if all you are going to type is "neutral" why are you commenting it at all?I think this should be disallowed just bc it's so sincerely pointless

Forums are meant to express your opinion. If you are "neutral" and have no opinion, that does not need to be heardPosted on 11 January 2018 - 02:06 PM
I know i find this annoying, but hey free posts for them i guess.Posted on 12 January 2018 - 02:15 AM
No. Neutral means it has both positive and negative aspects. There is a huge difference between a post that only gets +1s and a post that gets half +1s and half Neutrals. To me, it helps gauge the interest in a suggestion. I do however support explaining why you +1 or -1 or neutral since it helps. +1s are typically just agreeing so explanations aren't as necessary but I think that if you -1 or neutral with an opinion someone hasn't already explained, you should explain as to why you said that.Posted on 12 January 2018 - 02:57 PM

Exactly. With each -1, +1, or neutral it would make sense to give reasoning for your decision unless the idea is flat out stupid or one of those threads where it's an obvious +1. But especially for Neutral I would like for people to give reasoning.

Agreed, but this can only change with the community and enforcing rules won't help.

I often say neutral when I need to think about an idea, I usually end up coming back to it later. I personally use it when I am unsure of something being good or bad at the moment.I do disagree with the idea of stopping people from saying it however, everyone is entitled to free opinion.
