UNOFFICIAL AU 2v2 No Debuff Tournament Announcement!

It's taken us a while but we are finally back with our second unofficial tournament, just in time for the end of the summer holidays! On Sunday January 28th 2017 at 12pm AEDT / 11am AEST / 2pm NZDT we will be hosting an unofficial 2v2 No Debuff tournament.

Why No Debuff? Instead of doing the regular UHC related kit, we wanted to do something a little different this time around, after getting your feedback from the previous Community Night and after a few players from the Pot community expressed interest, we decided on No Debuff.

This tournament will take place on the AU Badlion Arena PvP servers. The tournament will start on Sunday January 28th 2017 at 12pm AEDT / 11am AEST / 2pm NZDT and should take roughly two hours start to finish (depending on numbers). Prizes

We are pleased to announce that this tournament will have prizes! Our previous tournaments have not, but we are super glad to get prizes for this one, and hopefully for more tournaments in the future.

Rules

All Badlion Network wide rules are in place for this tournament, you should all know these rules, but if you do not, you can find the them here - https://www.badlion.net/wiki/rules

Additionally, the following rules will apply:

- You may not use any type of unauthorized client modification or any type of hacked client.
- Do not bully or harass any players.
- We expect good sportsmanship, any action against this will result in removal from the tournament
- Do not exploit any issues or bugs, if an issue occurs let a Tournament Staff know ASAP.
- You must follow the instructions given by the tournament staff.
- Please do not IP Ban evade, we will be checking. If you are IP Ban evading you will be banned once sign ups close so you cannot sign up again, don't bother.
- You may only play with the account you sign up.
- Follow all instructions of your referee.
- If you change your name between signing up and the tournament, please let organisers know or you may be unable to play.

We reserve the right to remove anyone from the tournament if you are breaking any of the above rules.

FAQ:

Is the Badlion Client Mandatory for this tournament?
No, you do not have to use the Badlion Client in this tournament. The current version of Badlion Client has many issues and it is unfair to players to make them use it. When 2.0 comes out we will consider making badlion client mandatory, but not for this tournament.

Can IP Banned players play?
If you read the rules above, you will find an answer this question. Since a lot of people have asked about this I will answer it again. No, IP Banned players cannot play in this tournament. This is an unofficial tournament done for some fun and we can’t unipban players for it. Don’t cheat next time.

How will the Seeding work for this Tournament?
Believe me, we have tried extremely hard to work out an effective seeding system for this tournament. Unfortunately for a No Debuff tournament, we can honestly not find a fair way to seed players. It’s not a very well played kit generally so seeding with something like ELO would be unfair. We’ve come to the decision that we will do a completely random seeding. This is not the best solution and the world, but it’s the best we can do in this situation.

Who will be reffing and can I be a ref?
At this moment in time the AU Community managers will be reffing the tournament. We are hoping to get some well known fair community members and AU Badlion staff to Ref the tournament as well. At this moment in time we won’t let you guys apply to be ref, but depending on numbers we may at a later date.

Do I have to join a discord to participate in the tournament, and can i join the discord even if I’m not playing the tournament?
Yes, if you are playing the tournament you must be in our discord server. We use this discord to give you important information about the tournament, if you are not in the discord, you cannot participate in the tournament. Sign Ups!

SIGN UPS ARE CLOSED
Sign ups for the tournament are now open and will remain open until Saturday January 27th at 12pm AEDT / 11am AEST / 2pm NZDT - 24 hours before the tournament is to begin. This is so we can work out the brackets, refs etc. There will be absolutely NO late sign ups. If you need to pull out message an organiser.
