Hey guys.Today unfortunately I do not come here baring good news. We have been analyzing the AU community on Badlion and overall for the past few months and we have made the difficult decision to shut it down at the end of February. AU has been costing us more than it has been producing for about a year and a half now. We were hopeful that the community would grow again with the launch of Badlion Premium, but as we all know this idea/concept was harshly rejected by the community. There has been no growth in the AU Minecraft community over the past year, and rather it has just shrunk more and more. Based on these factors we feel it is best to just close the region down before letting it completely shrivel into nothing.
We will work with some of our staff to try and put together some events before the final shutdown at the end of February. Thanks to everyone from the Oceanic region who has supported us over the past years and helped us keep the lights on. We hope that you all still play on Badlion on the other regions.

We all knew this was going to happen sometime soon. Thank you dearly for keeping the server up for the last 1.5 years despite no profits. The 3 years of AU Badlion were great and held many great memories for all of us. Yeah now I'll have to play MC with over 200ms minimum at all times, it sucks for all of us. I straight up don't know of even one more AU server out there period, let alone one with players so it's going to suck for us a lot more than US/EU players.Posted on 30 January 2018 - 06:52 AM

I've played on here since 2014. Despite me not playing the last year, I've still got so many great memories here. I was the youngest ever staff member, which is an achievement right? I played a great Huahwi prank once too. I've also met some great people here, people like Caleb, Connie, Christian, Pug, Strafe, Frodo, Flint and more.I also got to work with some wonderful staff members too. This server was a big part of my life when I was 11. I'm so glad I decided to join all those years ago. I thank you for all the great times I've had here. I wish you all the absolute best. I feel bad but also relate able since I am asian and the Asian community is growing exponentially. However we too don't have a good server like Badlion that we could play on. Would love to see Asian Region return.I feel bad for AU because all my friends in HongKong got good ping to it, now they have to play with 250ms like me!

Great descission!You could now try opening the Singapore server once again. Us australians get around 80-150 ms to it which is also great ššæ

Thanks to all the staff for keeping AU up as long as it was. Had some really great moments with some really great people but all good things must come to the end. AU had the most tight-knit community on Badlion and its going to be a shame to see it all shatter apart. I wish Badlion good luck with their future on the NA and EU regions.
