This really sucks, I really enjoyed playing on AU Badlion and it's sad it is closing down :(. One of the main reasons it is shutting down is because of all the new AU pvp servers which is draining people from Badlion. I hope there is a alternative solution for this such as a new proxy nearby. Thanks Badlion for making it the best server ever!Kind Regards

or they can just simply separate sg again to ffa and team sg, so couple of kankas wont team on me in dm every game (doubt that would stop them, as ive seen many of them teaming in other gamemodes such as uhc meetup as well)
Again splitting the community will kill the gamemode

Well, it was quite a journey for me. Thanks to all the AU community and the staff for keeping it alive for 3 years. I've pretty much loved every moment of it (except the last few months which have been up and down). I'd like to farewell all of the community and just a note for badlion, I'm sure the whole AU community is grateful for you creating an AU Proxy and sticking with it for 3 years.Good luck with your future Badlion, and keep up all the great work!

R.I.P I hope Badlion grows really big once again, big enough for AU to return. Anyway thankyou for keeping the server up for as long as you did.Posted on 31 January 2018 - 04:32 AM
If Au's being taken down will another region be coming up for example bringing Na West back? xDPosted on 31 January 2018 - 06:36 AM

They simply have to earn more on the server than they spend on it. If that is not the case, then that region must be closed :/

As an NA player, I haven't has a ton of interaction with Badlion's AU community. However one particular memory still stands out to me - one time I helped host an unofficial Build tournament on AU, which was a very unique experience. In most tournaments I run, there is generally not much interest in the tournament itself; those who participate leave upon elimination, those who don't play just ignore the tournament. The AU tournament, however, was entirely different. People were watching matches and cheering for people in chat. There was a general sense of excitement on the server, even though there were only 30ish people playing, and around 100 on Arena, it felt as though all 100 people were watching the games. When the last few matches were going on, chat was absolutely flying with people chatting about the match. A UHC got delayed so everyone could watch the finals. I was incredibly impressed with the passion over a tournament much of the community had nothing to do with. Maybe it's the rarity of AU events, or maybe it's because enough people just happened onto the server, but the AU community as a whole seemed much more involved and much tighter-knit than the others.
It is one of my bigger regrets as a tournament staff that I never hosted anything officially for the AU community. While small, I've always felt strongly that this community would provide us with a surprising amount of signups and hype if given the chance. I promise you guys that we will host something fun for you all before AU closes down, and I sincerely hope you guys stick around in the community after the servers go down.

I really wasn't surprised that this was going to happen #ripauPosted on 01 February 2018 - 03:49 AM
As one of the first OG players to play on MCSG (now known as MCGAMER) the AU community was once the highest skilled bunch of MC players out there. Some of the you reading this know what it once was, the clan battles, breaking the 1000th win and climbing up to the very top of the leaderboards. It was a tremendous loss to see AU get shut down over there back in April of 2016. Ever since, players have been dropping off such as myself shortly after the incident, due to high ping on US servers and the difference in skill compared to the norm. Just 2 weeks ago I came back to get into it again, to see whats up and hope to come back to the community, but only return to nothing compared to what it was back in the day. Unfortunately, only a few Aussie servers are still up, nothing at all like the ones that used to be around, its a shame to see AU finally fade away along unforgettable friendships and of course, the incredible Australian community.~ jackson_murray 1/02/2017.
