From Australia.
Many of your users are from the oce region. We've been experiencing over 300ms while pvping on your network. This is basically pretty much unplayable. I saw that you guys recently retweeted/replied to a question about Australian servers. Stated here http://gyazo.com/4d9e8b4d4d5af7fb2b9232423b404f24

Anyways, I've been looking around for some DDOS protection centers. http://www.micron21.com/ddos-protection.php One here. And another one here http://www.telstraglobal.com/products/global-managed-network-services/global-ddos-protection

Sadly, Us Australians don't have really good internet infrastructure. Or just good internet in general. This makes it harder for company's to have DDOS protection centers. I hope these centers are good enough for Badlions standards.

I would love to see a Australian server soon. This would provide a less stressful time on your network.

EDIT: Found another Australian ddos protection company. http://www.vocus.com.au/our-network/ They seem pretty good. But i don't know what's badlions standards are.

I guess i might as well provide a link section.

Don't think our AU/Asia is big enough for this at the moment, and 300ms is no where near unplayable lol

Thanks for the feedback. These datacenters will definitely be investigated if we do move towards having an Australian location. We are going to start off with our EU location and see how it does before we plan out future locations though.

No problem! I will keep on searching for data centers.

You clearly don't know what the hell you're talking about. 300+ ms on any game is unplayable. Go play cs go at 300 ms. Now, Before this goes off-topic. Would you provide some feedback to the staff members on this current thread? Or are you going to continue talking about nothing you know about.

What do you mean I dont know what's am talking about? Skizyxand sNooPyO_O are by far one of the best pvpers in the world and they get 300ms. What you gonna says about that bruh?

@MaccaTacca @Rezlith Um. I'm from the Asia/Australian region and I get above 300ms, and I know that it's playable. In fact, we get reach due to latency and it isn't a problem getting high elo etc

Yes, an AU proxy in the future would be great and all, but currently, it's not unplayable

Either way, You shouldn't be complaining about getting better ping. Most of australia has horrible internet. This is a fact. I have to deal with internet crashes, packet loss. Packet loss + 300ms is virtually making it unplayable. it really turns me off from playing minecraft also. Delayed hits, pot lag, Really hurts my play time on minecraft.

No doubt it will be good to have a proxy for au. As long as it doesn't take another year or two. I've been wanting this proxy for agers. And i'm sure other people have to.

Yeah, 100% agree with you. The OCE community is actually pretty large on this community and on many others. if anything, We would of deserved the AU/asia proxy over Europe. As Europe is closer to where the server is located.

I'm going to set a few thing straight right now briefly.

I present to you our website traffic for the past month broken down by country.

As you can clearly see, the OCE region (while it does exist) does not compare to our North America or our European player bases. This is also evident by when school is in session. Our population drops to around 100 players late at night. All of those are Australian. Now you have to compare this to our European population which is probably around 500-600 during peak and our American Population which is over 1000 during peak.

Needless to say OCE (while still being part of our community) is the smallest of our communities. We JUST got an EU proxy online. Our EU PotPvP server isn't even stable at the moment. We are hard at work trying to get this live. We have hit a LOT of issues with the EU PotPvP server, hence is why it's not live. Every one of our issues has been from latency. There is absolutely NO WAY we are even going to consider an AU server/proxy until we can figure out what the hell is wrong with all of the EU issues.

Next after that we have to determine if it is really beneficial for us to do it. I'm not dying to throw out a lot of money to please 100 players at night. If we were to triple our AU population due to a new server/proxy out there, then yes it would be beneficial.

Until then our priorities are staying the same. Also we didn't just add the EU Proxy/PotPvP server on a whim. It had been in discussion for months now.
