Hey everyone!

Today marks the 1 year anniversary of the Badlion Client Beta (0.9.0) being released to the world last year. We had a certain vision for the Badlion Client when we set out to start building it during 2016 behind the scenes, a vision mainly based around esports. You, the community have shifted the direction of that original vision from a pay to play esports product, to a completely free to play general Minecraft product. The first steps of this happened at the end of last summer when we shifted the client focus to 1.7 from 1.8. I am super excited to share today that we are revealing the first footage of the Badlion Client 2.0, removing it from NDA access, and expanding our closed beta to more players!

Badlion Anticheat (BAC) improvements to perform better

Improved GUI editor to modify your mods on Minecraft

Lots of more customization for the Badlion Client mods

No work required on the user besides running an installer and logging in.

Less network latency than 1.0 (for people with slow internet connections).

How do I get access to the client?

At the moment the Badlion Client 2.0 is in closed beta. This means it will only work for users who are whitelisted in our system. We will have some closed beta giveaways on our own social media. We will also be working with certain influencers for additional closed beta giveaways. If you are a youtube or streamer with a decent size following (at least 10,000 subs/followers) and want to make a video of the Badlion Client 2.0 please get in touch with @SuchSpeed here on the forums or over Twitter (https://twitter.com/SuchSpeed). Do not bother him unless you meet these requirements.

The rest of the community will have to either win closed beta access or wait for the open beta which we promise will not be too long. We will have a few waves of beta invites in a bit of time before the open beta begins, so keep your eyes peeled for that as well.

When will Open Beta Begin?

We do not have a date yet planned for Open Beta, but we will most likely release open beta along with our new Badlion Client Website, which will be located at https://client.badlion.net/ at a later date. Open Beta will be released when we have fixed the majority of bugs/problems in the closed beta.

What about BAC? Does it work everywhere now or only on Badlion still?

We are excited to announce applications for server owners to get BAC on their servers! We will be working with other servers over the next few months to get BAC on more servers in the Minecraft community to help reduce the number of cheaters in the game overall. If you are interested in this for your server and have at least 250 players during peak then please fill out and send this application below to servers [at] badlion [dot] net. We will look into offering BAC to smaller servers eventually, but we cannot promise when this will happen. Please send this from an email associated with your server's official domain, e.g. badlion.net or hypixel.net and not gmail.com.

Conclusion

I want to thank our hard working developers @SmellyPenguin @git @import @ThomasssMC @chocolate_pc for all their hard work the past 6 months in helping us to reach this point. There are still lots of improvements to come.
