I thought I'd share my ideas for the Badlion Client. Don't mind the quality of the pictures, I only had Paint at the time of making this. Disregard a suggestion if the feature is already present in the client.


1) Status Effect:

  • Option to make it horizontal or vertical
  • Option to change the colour of the effect name and the time
  • Option to toggle flashing when the effect is about to go off

    • 2) Toggle Sneak/Sprint:

  • Option to choose between square, round and no brackets
  • Option to change the colour of both parts of the text separately

    • 3) ArmorStatus:

  • Option to make it horizontal or vertical
  • Option to show held item
  • Option to show item count
  • Option to show item damage bar
  • Option to show item name
  • Option to show item max damage
  • Option to choose between values or percents
  • Option to customise the colours depending on item damage like a gradient:




    • (left is colour blending on, right is colour blending off).

    You are able to add another slider by right clicking and picking a colour and then you can move it around



    3) Hotbar/XP Bar/Health and Hunger Bar

  • Making it resizable and movable


    • 4) Chat

  • Making it a mod, resizable and moveable
  • Options for background colour and scale
  • Making it look more like the tabby chat version
  • Option to send larger messages by splitting them into multiple messages (like in TabbyChat)
  • Option to prevent spamming by showing [2x] or [3x] if the same message appears twice in a row (like in TabbyChat)
  • Option to show timestamps in chat (multiple colours and styles like in TabbyChat)



  • Adding tabs and filters (exactly like in Tabbychat, self explanatory)
  • Ability to select text straight from the chat or the chat bar while
    • holding Middle Mouse Button, then to cut/copy/paste or translate it (only copy or translate it if the selection is from the chat)



  • Add a little box in the right hand corner for symbols (nothing crazy just a few and perhaps make it a Lion+ only thing)



  • Add a box to select the chat you’re typing in (Badlion only) to prevent confusion as to in which chat you’re typing.

    • You’re able to choose between:
    GC (Global Chat)
    TC (Team Chat – only in a team gamemode)
    PC (Party Chat – only if you’re in a party)
    SC (Spectator Chat, - only in minigames that have spectator chat)
    CC (Clan Chat, - only if you’re in a clan)
    MC (Mod Chat, - only for staff)
    UMC (UHC Mod Chat, - only if modded in a UHC game)

    You can create shortcuts to access certain chats (eg. Shift + P for party chat). Proof of concept:




  • Options by right clicking a player’s name (Badlion only but could be extended for other servers):




    • Sending a duel request only works if you’re on arena
    If you’re a staff member you’ll also have the ban, mute and kick options


  • Other useful features TabbyChat has: a good scrollbar, option to change the # of lines the chat history retains, option to change unfocused height and chat fade time


    • 5) Saturation Display:

  • Add an option to display the saturation just as a number, like in the orginal mod. Add an option similar to the one for ArmurStatus for the colours

    • 6) Profiles:

  • Automatic Profiles, option in the Profile Editor. You can make profiles that automatically activate/deactivate once you’re on certain servers or gamemodes.

    • Auto enable when playing on following servers : eg. mc.hypixel.net, eu.mineplex.com, hivemc.eu (profile for casual play)

    Auto enable when playing the following gamemodes (Badlion only):

  • Potion [If you’re playing a Potion PVP Ladder, a potion gamemode (nodebuff ffa/cubecore)]
  • UHC [If you’re playing a UHC Ladder, hosted UHCs, UHC Meetup/Run or UHC SG]
  • Archer [If you’re playing a Bow Ladder or UHC FFA]
  • Competitive [If you’re playing a OCN gamemode or are in a scrim match]
  • SG [If you’re playing the SG ladder or SG/UHC SG]


    • 7) Others:

  • Little options such as
    • - Showing own name tag in F5
    - Name History
    - Choosing between your left and right hand
    - Borderless Window

  • A mod/option to the cords mod that shows the biome you’re in
  • A mod to show the server you’re playing on
  • A mod to count the number of hits in a combo
  • Motion Blur and Waypoints mod
  • Custom GUI for Badlion Parties/Friends (eg showing the player heads of your online friends or of the people you’re in party with)

    Well done, great ideas. I'd love to see a borderless window mode especially, if that's not added yet.
