I dont like the idea of the elo decay. It shouldnt matter if a player reached his high elo in the beginning of the season or at the end. If he stops playing, the elo he reached are still his achivement and shouldent be decayed. Regular seasons with elo resets should be enough to get new faces on the leaderboard. Elo is what makes pvp more competitive, but if I know I will be on holiday for 3 weeks then i can just play unranked until after my break… And that doesnt help the shrinking arena player base at allPosted on 03 March 2018 - 12:21 PM

Love most of these changes! Although I was always against the idea of having a chat filter, I don't see it being too much of a big deal, but rather a positive thing, since the majority of complaints regarding newer players is that the community is too toxic. So if i were to say "saying L is bad" would i be auto-muted….Also ytf did u add elo decay like thats just demotivating. Like which SOB wanted that idea point to add it. Its pretty much unfair cause say 1 guy who is no.1 in leaderboards has to go on vacation for 3 weeks and sees that he lost 30 elo just cause he didn't play is fucking weird.
The elo decay imo is basically like
"Hey, your the best legit player in this community but, since you haven't played for a week and a lotta kids are crying cause they ain't no1. We decided to drain ur elo cause its totally unfair for you to be no1 and not play for a week "

I don’t think auto muting is a good way to moderate chat. If someone said in chat “I take no L this season” or “Diamond is a noob kit” they will be automated falsely? I think a little bit of toxicity is fine in a game tbh, taunting your opponents when they lose is amusing sometimes and I think we have gone too far towards discouraging it, to the point where chat is now just a boring happy safe space.Bring back 'L' and 'rekt' and let mods decide when it becomes excessive. Good sportsmanship means more if it is a choice and not forced.
Work towards creating incentives for players who show good courtesy, rather than completely blocking out those who refuse to.

There's nothing they decide, they see "L" or "rekt" and they mute no matter what, not too sure what you're talking about
