this is in chronological order and describing 1.7 pvp as a whole1: mcsg died, splitting the community from 3 parts to 2: badlion and kohi, also starting a slight decline in players on badlion in late s11/early s12, but not a major decline
2: kohi shut down, bringing all the potion players to badlion, making it the community server, which was good for a short time because all of the uhcers were still playing as the arealways players were, and stimpy who has a huge influence on the potion community was recording on badlion so the potion community was actually on badlion for a short time
3: season 13 released, and it was very broken and mmr was shit that season, also danteh who was a very big influence on the uhc/arena community, quit for overwatch
4: PvPLounge released, stealing the potion players. this wasn't seen as that much of a big deal back then, but now that stimpy, the biggest influence in the potion community by far, stopped playing on badlion and went to other servers, he started talking shit about badlion, which made all the other potion players talk shit about badlion, which made the server seen as a shit server, and back then it kinda was
at this point I'm pretty sure badlion was slightly dying, but it could still get 4-5k players which is quite a bit
5: season 14 released, which was pretty good but it lasted 9 months and got really stale and inflated after a while
6: minehq started hyping the potion community a shit ton with cheatbreaker which made the shit talking to badlion even worse than before
over time badlion just started declining from mid 2017-late 2017
7: people started quitting for hypixel
8: minemen club comes out but this really didn't affect badlion a ton, it affected the potion community more as when mmc died due to all of the smaller youtubers with under 10k starting to advertise zonix, they went to zonix and a lot of mmc players didn't like zonix at all so they quit for fortnite or stayed on zonix. mmc hit 1k players at its best, and zonix can't get over 700 players, which shows how the potion community died a shit ton after mmc
9: fortnite started taking over the world
so yeah sorry for writing a book, but ye after season 13 badlion was beyond repair
also this proves how youtubers having too much influence on the community is really bad, because if a server want they can just pay youtubers to advertise
