Yes but it's rare. If it does happen you can appeal and you'll be unbanned.Posted on 27 March 2018 - 01:20 PM

GCheat is, by technical definition, a cheat detection system. Anticheats stop cheating, cheat detectors find those who do cheat.
However, yes, GCheat can false ban, although be it rare. Some instances of this is during network crashes and events where the entire network is lagging.

@Radioactivebeans for instance has been false-banned by GCheat already. So yes, it is possible, but more than rare.Posted on 27 March 2018 - 04:39 PM

Was it really necessary to say that by a technical definition it's a "cheat detection system"? Nope. Beside's, 99% of the time anticheat is a general term referred to what a server uses to counter cheating.

Yep it can and I have experienced it first hand that if it is indeed false you will get unbannedPosted on 28 March 2018 - 09:13 AM
Almost all false bans relate to the client lagging or the user's internet lagging, causing the player to appear to be speed hacking or fly hacking. Are these technically false: No, you were definitely floating in the middle of the air or you were having increased speed due to you playing catchup. However you weren't actually willfully cheating, just having computer/network issues, so we unban. It's very rare that a GCheat ban is actually false.Closed
