+1, I know how you feel dude… I feel the same… It's just not fun to play as much as it used to be…Posted on 30 March 2018 - 09:40 PM
+1 for everything you've said except the global system. The old one was perfectly fine and all of the kits that counted towards global required different skills (also GApple and Iron as conservation is also a skill).Posted on 31 March 2018 - 04:07 AM
I do not agree with you saying speed and non-speed melee are the same. They require different skills (such as you need to be able to aim faster when you are playing speed ladders) and some skills are more effective in one or the other (for example, wtapping is more effective in non-speed and strafing is more effective in speed imo)As for the global system, 'throwing debuffs' is not the only skill required in the ladder. Knowing how to play while you and/or the other player is debuffed changes a lot about the way you play. Therefore I believe debuff is significantly more skill based than nodebuff. The kit may be dead, yes, but adding it to the global kits would repopularlise a once much loved ladder.
The kits you have suggested best represent ranked are a good choice in my opinion, besides choosing nodebuff over debuff. I believe you should include diamond because diamond adds another bow kit while at the same time being a non-speed melee kit too. Also 7 is a much nicer number than 6.
As for the kb, I personally dislike the current speed kb, but I like the no-speed kb. It feels really nice to wtap with.
I agree with your map suggestions. Especially the multiple maps with low-ground areas, which can cause high ping players like myself to get stuck in blocks if we are hit into them.
Overall really nice suggestions and a high quality thread.

I am not saying non speed melee and speed melee are the same, they are similar. Similar enough that a speed melee player will be also decent at no speed. By your logic sort range bow is not the same as long range so do you think we should keep them separate and have 2 kits for each? No that would be absurd.
For debuff, if we were organizing a global tournament I would definitely favor debuff because of the fact that it requires different kinds of skills but when it comes to global elo I think popularity has a slight aeffect on the decision. Other than throwing debuffs and I guess playing while debuffed which is not that different it doesn't have anything else to offer which I wouldn't consider significant. Making it a global kit definitely wouldn't increase the number of players playing it, it would just decrease the number of players playing nodebuff. Last season it was a global kit and it was still dead.
As for the no speed kb there doesn't seem to be common consensus on it. I don't remember many people complaining about the no speed kb last season and it seems to me that there is a slight increase in amount of players that do complain. My assumption is that this is mainly caused by the lack of vertical kb if you look at the players feet when you hit them they just slightly bounce like they are glued to the ground.

Everything else is either common sense or just good ideas in general +1
Try create a party and then play a UHC Ffa event, it says you can't play it.

+1 beans.I hope maps for IronSoup will not be large next seadon, it's so anoying to fight people with 5ms who doesn't even know to strafe or soup and just drain soups by blockhitting straight and refill after running for 30 seconds.

At this point i bet over 50% of the active players this season want the season to end as soon as possible.
