In case the three ladder system doesn't get changed (which I hope it does) I wouldn't mind a mixture out of Archer and UHC representing the bow side of the global system, e.g. the UHC kit with an enderpearl. This makes sure that bow fights are not purely restricted to long range and demands versatility in terms of bowing and dodging in short, mid and long range

Dinozaw is a build player and is from Australia (the au region no longer exists). Therefore he gets over 250ms to NA making archer very difficult. Therefore, of course he isn't going to have high archer elo. His opinion is equally as valid as anyones.
Anyway, -1 as I find uhc and iron are impossible to play with high ping, whereas archer is still playable to an extent.

"there's no interest in having players become better at something that literally exists nowhere outside of this ladder"+1.

It's the opposite though, it's way easier to play a ladder based on predictions and mechanics with high ping than a ladder based on reflexes.
UHC/Iron are much easier to play with ping. I play on NA sometimes and I have an easier time with these ladders than with Archer, same for exemple with Doe, he plays EU a lot, he's still very hard to fight agaisnt in ladders like UHC or Iron, but in Archer you just need to stay in long range and abuse the ping difference.

That's actually a good idea considering most of the fights (between good players at least), won't get closer than mid range.
It's still possible to rush though (not as punitive as in Archer), I guess it's a part of the skill needed in this ladder, idk, I'm good with both options.

The opposite… in your opinion. See, you are EU I am guessing, so you would get fairly good ping to NA. Therefore, what we are saying are not comparable, as players from Oceania get from 180-320ms to NA. I have asked several of my fellow high-ping players and all prefered archer over uhc/iron. The main reason this was was because the speed allows you to dodge arrows almost as effectively as a low ping player could. Additionally, the delay when firing a shot is less impactful on the fight where the number of shots landed is lower (such as an archer fight, where players are less accurate due to the larger distance between them while fighting). In my experience, if I miss a shot in iron or uhc, I get bowlocked.
