but that wouldnt be consistent, some people would take full season breaks, maybe quit during that time, etc. it's like the kb: we need to keep it consistent

You have a point, but a lot of players did already quit when S15 begun (when ELO returned). Player count prob won't decrese, cuz MMR fans will come back for sure, and ELO players will leave once again, and so on. I hope you understand what I mean. xd

MMR could be good for minigames such as SG, it kinda gives me the spirit of other competitive games. I was okay with MMR ever since it was released, so I'd like to see it back.

If we were to change back to MMR, I'm 99% sure people would request having ELO back again next session.

This community can't make up its damn mind to be honest… one gets implemented, the other gets missed. The people who want the older system are usually the most vocal, which is understandable, but that makes the higher ups think that's what the community wants. In actuality, the people who don't mind, or prefer the current system, will stay quiet because they have no reason to speak up in the first place.

Agreed. Even though everything you said is mostly true, i believe a lot of the players who voted for elo in s14 have quit and the ones who joined in s13/14 who got used to mmr stayed. Its either that or they just liked mmr more than elo. Anyways as said, a lot of the people who wanted/voted elo now quit and the people who wanted mmr remain. Thats the problem here.
