Steve Wilhite, who is accepting a lifetime achievement award at The Webby Awards, told the NY Times how annoyed he was at the debate over the pronunciation of GIF: “The Oxford English Dictionary accepts both pronunciations. I would say the closest word to gif that we know how to pronounce is gift, unless the "t" at the end somehow changes the pronunciation its a hard gPosted on 04 May 2018 - 09:03 AM
