Okay i left this server with 1k players daily, i return to find it getting less than 500. Like wtf happend here, i thought this server would get a lot more players with Bac being released but i started playing and saw how different this community is, so here's couple things I would like to discuss.


1.7 community is dead

isn't obvious by now that the 1.7 is dead? think about it 1.7 got released in June 30, 2011. that's around 7 years ago almost everybody moved on to newer or quit, the only people left are badlion and random hcf servers.


Poor management

I'm trying to get myself banned or anything but to who ever owns this server dude your doing a shitty job, to much fucking time waiting for updates, caring about useless things, not promoting enough, not giving the community what they want, listing to the wrong people when it come to suggestion. just to name few things.

Letting dead things go

there's a saying in my country "dead people will drag you down with them" meaning keeping useless things that are dead will destroy. Old useless gamemodes like cubecore which i loved it and used to play for hours but it's dead, 30 players and that's in good day.


Not enough promotion

Why did badlion stopped paying those yt's? like notch said "minecraft and yt come hand and hand" meaning if one dies the other will die.
minecraft community consist of weriods and sheeps plus few normal people. sheeps will follow anything said to them by streamer or youtuber so if you pay someone with good support not some dead channels to be "admins" which are not active or useful. this server will get more players = more donors.


Not a fucking competitive sport

Get over it this server or any server won't get to be an e-sport unless the owners of the game started to pay attention but they don't give a fuck about us.



Here's how to fix it

1- start a new server with 1.13 or whatever version is being used, more players = more money = better developers = better experiences
plus there's not a single server comes close to badlion quality not hypixel nor mineplex so 1.8 or 1.13 version will be better.

2- follow the trends, whatever is popping nowadays do it, if it's mini games or whatever.

3- hire YT's streamers even if they are small, they would get some players even one.

4- revive the dying clans, that's a chance of making this server into competitive sport.

5- want to make minecraft into e sport, make physical events where you can have matches and competition etc

5- put ads for ffs, like having yt's and stuff. You see 12 year olds when they search for server they would type top minecraft server, you can pay a fee or have the players vote to put badlion up and noticed.

6- not everything needs to be a competition, put more relaxed game modes for beginners like moded survival ton of kids play that on servers.

7- something to attract, what i mean by that having some sort of online event or something like having 1000 player uhc every couple weeks with 10$ prize or something. why is that's simple think hcf servers sotw is the time they get the most players since they server just opens which will attract donors.

I'm sleepy now i will continue to write tomorrow when i have time.

For the 1.7 part, I believe the owners have been wanting to update to a new version for a long time but it's because of you guys that they don't.

"Let dead things go" No, that's just not a good idea. They should be trying to revive those game modes not shut them down. If they were to just remove them do you realize how much work would be wasted. Instead they should make something like a universal update to Minigames that would bring them back. If they could get every gm on badlion to the amount of players uhc meetup has they'd be well on their way to reviving Badlion.

As for paying YouTubers that isn't happening. It's just a scummy tactic to grow your server and I completely disagree with it. The day this happens is the day I resign. Look at Hypixel, they don't pay youtubers yet they're far larger than mineplex who do/did. Eventually your Youtubers will start getting greedy and want more money, if you can't provide this then the YouTubers will leave and shit talk the server, what happens after that? Your server dies because that's what the server was built off of (exactly what happened to Mineplex). While the servers who got their YouTubers to play without paying them will still stay alive because they can hold their ground without them, as well as that the YouTubers wouldn't get greedy in the first place because they weren't getting paid to play.

"Not a competitive sport"
You clearly haven't played anything that takes any real skill/teamwork in this game, but you're right about one thing, right now the server needs to focus on getting casual players then start working its way towards being an esport again. Right now Badlion lacks casual players which are needed to create competitive players and move it forwards as a competitive game.

Huge +1 to the $10 UHC matches though.
