This might not be possible, but it would be nice if there was a mod that could tell if your opponent was cheating. The mod would see your ping and the opponents ping and base your opponents hits off of that. It would essentially be a reach detector for opponents, that would give you maybe some kind of notification or message informing you that your opponent is possibly cheating.Posted on 01 October 2018 - 06:14 PM
I'd think it'd be pretty easy. It would essentially tell you if your opponents hits were possible or not. It wouldn't be precise, just something beginners could use to tell if somone was blatantly cheating.Last edited on 01 October 2018 - 09:28 PM by Vexary
This could have a lot of false positives because a lot of people gets really good ping and good hits.Posted on 07 October 2018 - 10:30 AM
@Vexary It wouldn't have positives because all it would do is detect the best possible hit the opponent could get with high ping and s-tapping/literally running backwardsPosted on 07 October 2018 - 04:42 PM
I don't see the need for this to be in bac.Posted on 07 October 2018 - 05:37 PM
This would be nearly impossible. Also as Janmm14 said, this would serve very little to the average player.Posted on 08 October 2018 - 12:30 AM
It wouldn't be nearly impossible. All mods would have to do is tell if the opponents hits were possible with the opponents current ping. The badlion client can see other people's ping, so I don't see how a simple mod that detects how a persons ping works with a 3 block hit. Basically it takes into account if a person could possibly make what seems like a longer than 3 block hit with their ping.Posted on 08 October 2018 - 04:15 AM
If your client has any delay, it is not seeing relality at present time, it's seeing it at a delay of whatever your ping is. It's impossible to really determine where the player is exactly as the network transmission is to a delay. This means you have to have tolerance to avoid there being a false positive (i.e the player being closer than you see them due to ping), which means it becomes next to useless.Posted on 09 October 2018 - 12:25 AM
