From the MCC team, we want to announce the idea of implementing a new system in the competitive Minecraft community. With this plan, our purpose is to focus on giving opportunities to the new players of the community. We will also make competitions in which there will be a greater balance in terms of the teams' levels. Our objective is to revive the competitive aspect of the game by bringing something new.


TEAMS

We will begin with five teams, each one with eight players respectively. To assign these 40 players into their corresponding teams, the following form provided. Any player who would like to participate can do so (please join the discord displayed at the end of the post before applying):

These players will be distributed among the different teams according to a criteria followed by an experienced team of players and ex-players of the community. This will try to ensure a better balance between the teams (this Election Committee will remain anonymous at all times). Once the teams are created, the players forming them will elect a captain who will intervene and take on the role of representative in the election of the Draft [1] and in the exchanges [2] with other teams. The captain will also take responsibility for the actions or incidents that occur within his team (any changes in the captain's position must be notified to the MCC team).

Lastly, every team must choose a name. The name must be communicated to the MCC team by the respective captains. The name must be serious, respectful and appropriate. The admins reserve the right to reject it. Any change of name must also be notified.

DRAFT

This is the most significant part of the project. It consists in an election process executed by the teams that were previously formed (represented by the captains), that will divide into three rounds. In every of these three rounds, a number of eight players will be picked for each, so is deductible that every team will own a pick [3] for each round produced.

These picks are assigned according to the level of the teams (considered by the Election Committee and mainly valued by the results of competitions already played), corresponding early picks to teams with worse results and less wanted picks to high-tier teams. With this adjustment, it is pretend to make balance between the cache of the teams to ensure a more equalized and intense competition.

TRADES

The captain of every team will have the right to be able to trade any of her of him players if her or him deal it with other team. These trades could be: player per player or adding any kind of pick [3] in the deal (picks from the next Draft).

If a team is interested in trading one of their players or any of their players want to leave and go to another team, the captain will manifest that like this in #trade in Discord:

The captain must inform that one of her or his players want to go to another team in #trade or she or he could be dismissed from her or his condition of captain.

Every team has the right to make two trades before the Draft (resetting the trade counter after each Draft), and they must be notified in #trade in Discord by the captains, like this:

ABANDONMENTS AND EXPULSIONS

If any player would like to leave her or her team without the intention of joining another one and leave this system completely, she or he will be punished 1 month before being able to join again from the next Draft. Eventually, if any player informs us about the inactivity of any of her of his members, we will consider and analyze his proposal for a possible expulsion (1 month).

In case of an abandonment or expulsion, the MCC team with the Election Committee will make a decision so they can get a new player (being able to offer them an extra pick or even a player apart from the project).

TOURNAMENTS OR COMPETITIONS AND SCRIMS

All this plan would conclude in the contributions from other organizations to our proper project. With this, team will join as uniques and exclusives to these competitions, following their rules and guidelines. The MCC team will in fact have a certain judgement about the kind of competitions the teams are joining.

Of course, the teams created by our system can also play friendly matches between each others if they want to. For that, there is a Discord channel for those wanting to plannify a scrim (#scrims). Scrims results will be posted in #score-report with a screenshot (player must press TAB). Administrators, moderators and helpers can be in a team (so they only help managing the discord).
