bad lion client have any goal?

Some years ago ESL announced a investment in minecraft but nothing happend right? @ESLMinecraft last tweet was in 2017 and i really was wishing for a really competitive server and tournaments with good prize pools.

I don't think mojang wants competetive play.

That would mean they have to deal with cheaters somehow, which they avoid completely.

There were (are?) some bedwars match possibilities on rewinside.tv:

Apparantly there were in total 2000 euros given to the first three teams in a 2016 competition:

In the end of 2015 gommehd.net had some ESL match stuff very shortly. Unfortunaly it looks like there were some internal problems between gommehd.net, rewinside.tv and esl, the esl match possibility vanished very quickly again on gommehd.

I guess the view count was too low for it to continue.

Today gommehd.net has its own clan system and clan match queue with elo points for tryhard teams. There are 3 queues and two of these can only be joined if all clan members use the badlion client.
