I can't open links in minecraft please help me

pls when i click to open a link the prompt pops up but when i click yes the link doesnt open (only when the default browser is chrome, works fine with edge) and i rly use it a lot so help would be appreciatedidk if this is the correct section

Is the issue also present in vanilla (normal) minecraft?If yes, I suggest reinstalling chrome.
