Fishing rod has default textures

Hi,I have check my pack and it has all the rod features but when i use it in game it shows the default texture for the rod. I've tried all my other packs and it does the same thing and i do not know what to do.

Sorry for such a late response i totally forgot about this, it only happens when i throw the rod. I went into the minecraft folder and the "fishing_rod_uncast" is still there but in game it shows the default rod uncast.
