Hy, i'm writting this post today to ask you if you guys are planning to add mumble link mode on the beautiful thing that is the BL client.
Firstly a quick presentation of the mode in its main lines: this mode affects only the vocal part of the game, so even players that doesn't have a good computer can use it. The principle of mode is that you hear every people who speak in some distance of you. This mode is actually mainly used in UHC gamemode and in especially strategics gamemodes (as DeathNotes or Werewolf [url=

]an example here).So know i'm going to explain you how the mode is set up in game by the players themselves, and after how you can add it to BL client.

Firstly, the mode doesn't works alone, the mumble application is needed in the same time, so only players who use it can play the games where it's required and it doesn't affect games where it isn't.The hosts of the games share their own mumble servers to the players so this is at the moment free for everyone.Now i'll tell you my personnal experiences with the mode used without the bl client: that's a bit laggy but in the games the mode add a new dimension and gives opportunities to meet a bunch of new players and also add a quoted entertaining in game.

Now i'm going to saay you how i think you could add the mode on BLC, as explained higher, when you do have the mode and that it isn't required in the game it won't affect your game or that of nobody else. So you can add the mode with all other mode that already are included in BLC, but i also thought that you could add it as an optionnal mode, as you've done with Optifine and that you select it on the launcher.I think that the mode is mainly used by the players of the french uhc community, but i think that it could be used in many other gamemodes and in every country. I like the detailed explanation, but the mumble link mod, although not providing an unfair advantage, it's probably not a priority right now. Interesting idea though, so I'll give it a +1.


EDIT: So apparently its been announced that they are working on support for more voice services like Mumble and Teamspeak. Once Mumble is officially added there will be a much higher chance that the Mumble Link mod will be implemented.
