When I mine a block the blocks around it turn very dark

This is happening in the 1.14.4 version with and without optifine. Whenever you mine a block the client light level turns 0 and mobs can spawn in that little part. It is also kinda annoying to be mining underground and it all too dark to see anything. It can be changed visually be using torches and fullbright, but it doesn't change the mobs being able to spawn around. Hope it can be fixed.
