Does badlion client check if client is off?

I'm trying to get into 2b2t, but I'm wondering if badlion can detect a hacked client if i dont use the client. Does it check when the client is not active?

BAC does only check the Badlion Client when joining a BAC server.

If you are not on a BAC server or do not use Badlion Client at all, nothing is checked.
