When I go on 1.8.9 (I never tried any other version besides 1.8.9 and 1.14.4) I have binds set to my mouse buttons. Mouse Button 4 is the one having the issue, in any other game it's completely fine with binds so I know it's not the mouse. When I go in 1.14.4 it works fine, it also works fine when I'm in vanilla 1.8.9. But when I go in 1.8.9 sometimes it'll go to the right slot and other times it'll go to the slot that my other mouse button is binded to. I don't know what could be causing it but just thought I could report it here.
I don't know if this will help but the binds for both buttons are this
Button 4: slot 9
Button 5: slot 6
