Whenever I break any new blocks, I get this weird lighting until I place a torch down.

Vanilla Minecraft bug, we cannot do anything about it.

But lighting seems to be normal when playing on the vanilla client instead of Badlion?

It is still a vanilla bug. We STILL can't do anything about it as CapFlair said
