chat won't work

When I try to open the NORMAL chat, nothing happens.When I try to open the BLC chat, the chat works, but when I send a message, or I receive a message, it don't show..
How i can resolve?
It happened after i downloaded 1.14.4 jar

Hello, xTryer!I was unable to recreate these bugs in 1.14.4. Both chats worked fine for me.
Maybe you have set the chat to 'commands only'. You can change that in Minecraft chat settings (Options -> Chat settings). Make sure to it set to 'shown'.
