I don't play ranked , but i do see allot of people bitch about how they get drained by one particular person continuously.
i don't know if this is implemented or not , but maybe you could tweak the match making system by making sure the person doesn't get the same person two times in a row so people have a "new" person to fight.

for example:
cascoid kills me(loses elo)
cascoid kills me(loses elo)
cascoid kills me(loses elo)
i am pissed off i keep getting drained by cascoid
with the thing i suggested:
cascoid kills me
i am fighting a new person that i have a chance against, if i dont win back the elo i lost from cascoid then tough titties
then after that match i could fight cascoid again
now i cant bitch about getting drained by 1 person, cos if i keeps losing elo to other people aswell I'm just fucking terrible and have to live with it
just suggestion even if it isn't liked by others, still could be useful. even if a player can toggle it on for themselves (so they get to choose if they get partnered with someone they've fought before idk, just a suggestion)

I feel like stuff like this would make it hard to get a match, but otherwise, I can't seem to really poke any holes in it. Sounds cool.
