please i got a error code -5 while im trying to update and when i try to submit bug report it says unable to authenticate error code 400 pls help

I got it too x.x but I changed to 1.12.2 and it works then I changed back to 1.8.9 and i still get the same error so its only 1.8.9 for me at least not sure about any of you.

Try launching Badlion Client again and see if you all are still getting the same error (it should be fixed).
