There are some really ugly squares attaching the actual cape to your character's head/neck area. Why? What purpose do they serve? They just look really ugly. Is there a way to disable them? Thanks

Hello!

Those things are cape shoulders. They make capes look realistic (it doesn't look like a cape is 'glued' on the back).

If you want to disable cape shoulders, open the cosmetics menu, open the capes section, click on the settings button and disable cape shoulders.
