Why are these functions not working when I run the 1.8 and 1.12 versions of the badlion client? I can understand that some servers don't want people to use it to keep the mousebutton pressed down, but it's nothing different from putting a brick on your mouse.

All F3 + … functions that can be exploited are disabled on the Badlion Client.

You said on discord something about F3+S, but why block F3+T and F3+A blocked if F3+S is the issue, whatever the issue is?

Hello,

F3+S was removed because people would abuse it. If you are falling into the void and you press F3+S, it freezes you in mid-air and most of the time teleports you back to the previous location. Same thing with F3+T.

If you want to reload sounds and textures, press ESC and click on "Reload Resources".

F3+A was removed because people often use this as a means to find players. It could be easily abused by spamming the keys.

Isn't that all up to the servers to deal with that though? It's really obvious as you've shown me in the video, so it can be recorded and reported. Your client is not only being used in a competitive pvp environment :)
Perhaps you could link it so it disables them when you play on a BAC server, but leaves them enabled on any other server?

No problem! I tried to explain it as best as I could.
I couldn't find any video of people using F3+A to show you how it's being abused. The one I used for F3+S/F3+T is my own recorded video of someone abusing those functions in a server I used to work on.

Badlion Client was created to stop any type of cheating/gaining an unfair advantage over other players in Minecraft. That was their goal. In order to achieve that, they created BAC (Badlion Anti-cheat) and disabled everything that could be easily abused to gain an unfair advantage. You won't find anything on Badlion Client that would give an unfair advantage in any form or type.

Yeah, it might seem that it's a server's job to deal with people who cheat/gain an unfair advantage but if you created a client that was advertised as a cheaters-free client, then you might as well disable little things like F3+S, F3+T, F3+A that can be heavily abused, especially, F3+S and F3+T.

It would be a different story if they removed F3+S, F3+T, F3+A and didn't add anything that would replace those functions, but they did add a thing called "Reload Resources" which does the same job.

I understand the intention and it's not a bad one. I just see it as a car that can only go a 60 mph cause that's the max you are allowed to go in a particular state, but everywhere else you are allowed to go 75 mph :)

Some of these things (like F3+A being disabled) are from old Badlion code from back when we hosted our own stuff with this.

We might re-enable some of these things, but add a cooldown or just remove the restrictions altogether at some point…not like you can't do this in vanilla MC.
