New Chat Broke

Basically when I turn on the new chat in version 1.14.4 it doesn't work. It overlaps ontop of the normal chat, and doesn't show any messages.
I don't really get why this is happening, or if it's supposed to happen.

Hello, can you submit this bug through the launcher so the developers can find the cause?
