I can't erase my message when I type it into the enchantment table, or reforge. I spam delete and backspace and nothing happens

Can u help me with the reforge mod? It doesnt show the name of the reforgement under, and when I type the reforge I want in the top left box, it doesnt work. It only works with enchanting.
