Hello everyone in the badlion client.

I have an idea that isn't quite unique and this was inspired by a discord member in the badlion discord server.

It's about users that doesn't have money or aren't willing to pay or their parents doesn't allow them to pay for cosmetics, the best is that they can watch a 15-30 sec ad and then be able to choose what cosmetics they want, after that they would be able to use the cosmetic temporary like 15-30 minutes then it expires but you can watch another ad to refill the time.

People will try to argument about that it's a bad idea, but my counter-arguments and questions will be listed below. Please if you -1 then can you explain why, instead of being toxic. Let's begin


Question 1: Wouldn't badlion make any money?


Answer 1: Yes, they would make money. 1 ad = $0.11-$1. Badlion can get this money by just 1 user watching 1 ad. Let's say 5000 users watch "an" ad then they would get $500-$5000 in one day, that is a lot of money and they could earn more because one of the 5000 users could have multiples ads which would generate more money.


Argument 1: No, i hate ads i don't want it.


Counter-argument 1: What a suprise, i also hate ads but your not forced to watch ads. The idea is other players can use cosmetics without paying also that badlion gets revenue from you watching 1 ad (Watch 1 ad to get 1 reward) and if you don't want to watch an ad then you can simply buy the cosmetic.


Argument 2: People would just glitch the ad system and get free cosmetics

Counter-argument 2: That's a good point. The thing is, if badlion finds the bug then it would be removed. Maybe your asking, but what if they are silent about the bug? i would say that it isn't possible. if 100 people found out about the bug then one of them would have reported the bug immediately. But if 10 people would have found out about the bug, then it would be rip but not a lot of money lost and sooner in the future they would be banned and the bug gets patched.


Question 2: Can i watch more ads?


Answer 2: Yes, you can watch more ads to either refill the time or get more cosmetics.


Question 3: Would there be ad banners or ads that comes out of nowhere while playing badlion?


Answer 3: Heck no, then the client would be pointless to use. You have to click on a button to watch the ad and choose what cosmetic you want, not that it forces you to watch ads.


Argument 3: They can just buy it for $13 to get a permanent cosmetic


Counter-argument 3: Well as i said before. Maybe they are not willing to pay or have parents that don't allow them or don't have money themself. Let's say that 5k users have bought cosmetics but 25k users hasn't and badlion really want to get money out of these 25k users but they don't want to make the game pay2play. There comes ads in to the play, one of these 15k would watch ads and get cosmetics and it would be a endless cycle, badlion would then get a lot of money.


Question 4: Do you want to replace ads and remove shops?


Answer 4: No, this is just so they can make more money and make more customers happy to get a free cosmetics for 15-30m.

I'm neutral about it. Ads give different amount of money depending on where you live. On Twitch, for instance, you can get bits for watching ads but only if you're in the US.

I'm not sure about this one. The aim of the cosmetics is to support the development of this client whilst buying something that looks really nice and that has something to do with the client. I don't like the idea of having a person being able to have a cosmetic for a certain amount of time, just because they watched an ad. I don't know, but it makes us seem like sell-outs.

Thank you for your opinion. The idea is to give people the chance to use cosmetics for free WHILE also supporting the developers. It's better to get items free and support the developers than not supporting the developers and just get the item for free, and if they feel like not watching ads or hate ads, just don't watch it but you won't get the item for free until you watch an ad or buy it to get it permanently

I don't think it's a good idea, ads can be random, and whatever the ad is, it wouldn't relate with a Minecraft PVP Client.

I don't understand this question. Badlion could use an service where there are ads that are willing to pay. They could also make it so "company's" pays to put their ads on badlion instead of using an service because it would be risky, there would probably be inappropiate ads. And wdym it wouldn't relate with minecraft pvp client, do you mean it wouldn't make sense to put ads on a block game. The answer is no, your not putting ads on a block game, you're simply putting ads on a website which other people would watch to get a cosmetic.
