I use the Waypoints mod all the time on my friend's 1.15.1 survival server. I really think it could use a light touch and make it much easier to use efficiently.



1) Waypoint Categories (Folders)

I think there should be a way to organizing your waypoints, with categories. I came up with 2 ideas of my own on how this could work.

Well the first is just straight up users being able to create custom-named categories on their own (e.g. "Villages" or "Bases"). You could either switch between the categories with a dropdown, or perhaps as buttons (like the different chat buttons on the Badlion New Chat). I'll post a screenshot example of how waypoints are currently organized, and then a concept image of how it could look (doesn't have to be the same, it's just an idea afterall).


The second way could just be 3 categories, The Overworld, The Nether, and The End (and yes those are the ones I chose in the concept image so it works for both). If this is how the waypoints would be managed, I believe it would be even better if they would automatically switch the categories to which dimension you're currently in (if you enter the Nether, it would switch to your Nether waypoints, if you went back to the Overworld it would switch to those, and so on).



2. Sorting

It doesn't seem like waypoints are sorted, and if they are somehow then it's definitely not by alphabetized order. It would be so much easier eyeing the waypoint you want to enable/disable/edit if they could be sorted alphabetically, but perhaps you could also have a choice to sort by Recently Created or Nearest to You or whatever. Sorting is exponentially more useful the more waypoints you have (yes it can take a while to find one in a pile of 25+ others that are all in random order).


Lastly, I understand that Badlion client is mainly used for pvp, so the common user may not even find themselves using the waypoints mod (especially if some servers disable the mod from being used). This is why I wouldn't be surprised if the idea wouldn't be used, but hey, an idea is an idea. I don't know if anyone else has brought up this sort of suggestion, and I apologize if it has which would sorta make this a dupe thread.
