So in the bottom left of the game screen there is a notification icon, what is its function? and how to use it?

The notification icon shows you how many new messages you have in the New Chat function of Badlion (when Enabled in the mod menu in “Other”)Client. To see these messages, press your chat button, then go to the 3 small dots in the top right corner, go to Badlion Client and you’ll see all the available chats. You should only see English by default. You can then switch back to the normal chat. To turn these notifications off, you need to press those same dots, press settings, and you will be able to configure everything else there.
