Hi,

I am not currently banned, but I recommended my friend use the Badlion client as I was currently really enjoying its benefits.

But DutchJesse_MCB was banned on GommeHD due to a Client Modification. It seems GommeHD detected his client, despite it being BAC enabled, as a modified client, and not a BAC client. I don't understand why this occurred, but it was a fresh clean install of Badlion (he did it just today).

He had Beta Enabled apparently (despite my advice that I don't trust beta's. no offense, personal preference.) but that doesn't make sense to him getting banned for it then.

Is there any form of explanation for this? I have tried to find a reason in some form of documentation about the badlion client, or forums, but I can only find "banned for injections" which he didn't have. no cheats at all, brand new installation.

Any ideas about why this happened would be helpful.

Using Badlion Client on GommeHD.net does not prevent them from banning people they think are cheating.
The evidence of that ban could be from some earlier time when he did not use Badlion Client or they think that your friend used some sort of Cheat while using BAC.

Tell your friend to just write an unban appeal on gommehd.net, here at Badlion we do not allow any unban appeals and cannot unban people getting banned on gommehd only.

Thank you for the response, this wasn't a ban appeal, he's already created a ban appeal, i just wanted to get to the root cause of it.

your response is appreciated, but it seems unlikely, because he hasnt been in the eu for 4 years, and just got back. he didnt play back in AS, for obvious lag reasons.

So the explanation you give that makes sense is they suspected cheating while using the client.

1) it is possible to cheat while using BAC?
2) since it was a fresh install, without cheats, this was a ban on suspicion of cheating, not one done by the badlion client itself?
3) if banned not by a detection system, how does BAC help verify whether an individual is cheating or not?

atm I am just curious about how BAC works (CS student in UK university)

1) Yes, the anticheat does autoban soe cheats, but many detections will cause a delayed ban (ban wave system)
2) BAC does not ban on suspicion, BAC bans happen only with sufficient evidence. Server-wide bans are completely separated to BAC bans.
3) I don't know and I guess if I knew I'd be not allowed to tell you.
