Cleaner BLC Client 'Suggestions'
Posted on 07 February 2020 - 02:07 AM
With the announcement of the Cleaner, more improved BLC 3.0 they plan to release within the next year, I was hoping to share some of my own opinions on the client design and how it could improve.First and foremost, with the current BLC client design (at least in game, on the title screen) It seems to be way too Cluttered, and while they went for a more open and free design format, having all those features cluttered on one menu seems a bit risky and unattractive to new users. In my opinion, the normal MC Menu is a nice fit, for their client I was hoping they could adapt the Normal Mc menu, with the panoramic chosen by MC, or a BLC panoramic, and have another button under the Realms/Options, with just the format "BLC", etc. This would keep the Cluttered down to an extent, leaving people eye's not to wander and if they want to see all the options select-able, they can view it on their own terms, instead of having to search through it all on one menu, or, Have this a changeable feature, being able to turn off the BLC custom menu, allowing it to just be stored in one button, or to have it all around the Menu. Another feature regarding the Design would be to clean up the Color design they've chosen, while they have talked on this in the original forum thread, the modern aesthetic doesn't fit MC too well, (This could also be a select-able feature in the settings). or, allow the user to change the color format to their own preference, with certain color choices ranging from normal to BLC modern.
I'm all about Normalness and keeping everything to a clean state when altering original work, With their news Menu, instead of having it take off half the menu screen, why not have a similar system to as they have ingame, where they have a little Notification Bar personalized for the Main menu, (which can be selected, etc) and have it filtered, along with the friends, etc notification bar next to it.
The Main Client page where you go to launch up your game seems fine to me, it could use a bit of clean up regarding clutterness, etc, but I feel it's fine, which may just be the fact i've used it for so long i've grown accustomed to it, but, in the end I feel that no matter how oddly a Client is created, and how one's own personal preference may view it, The client has it's own Ups which cancels out the Downs.
