Updates and Authentication impossible
It's been two days since I can't connect with Badlion Client. When I run it it says "Looking for updates… We couldn't manage to look for an update" and I can't authenticate. I tried to reinstall it, I updated Windows, but the issue is still here. Any ideas ?

Hello,

If you have Windows, open Windows Control Panel and uninstall Badlion Client through there.
If you have macOS, open the Applications folder, which you'll find by opening a new window in the Finder, or clicking on the hard disk icon. Drag the icon of the program you want to uninstall to the Trash. Empty the Trash.

Once you have uninstalled it, go to https://www.badlion.net/download/client/latest/windows to download the latest version of Badlion Client for Windows or https://www.badlion.net/download/client/latest/mac to download the latest version of Badlion Client for macOS.

Make sure there is nothing that might be blocking Badlion Client connections. Antivirus and firewall might be those who might be blocking BLC connections.

Hello,

Does it let you open the launcher? I'm asking this because I'm not sure whether the message about the failed update is showing up before or after the launcher opens.
Please post a screenshot of the error message(s).

Here are all the screens in order. Actually, I can connect to the website and log in (or I wouldn't be able to post here). The issue appears when I run the app.

Hello,

Let's go through everything that might be blocking Badlion Client installation and connections.
1. VPNs
If you have any VPNs or third-party software that claims to make your internet connection better or whatever, disable them. Then try launching Badlion Client again.
2. Antivirus
I don't know which antivirus you are using. You may need to search how to disable your antivirus on Google or on the manufacturer's website. Disable it and try launching Badlion Client again.
3. Firewalls
Software firewalls are designed to protect a computer by blocking certain programs from sending and receiving information from a local network or the Internet. Follow these steps to disable it (temporarily, of course):
  • Open Control Panel. You can do this in a number of ways, but the easiest method is through the Power User Menu or the Start menu.
  • Select the System and Security link.
  • Choose "Windows Firewall". Depending on how your computer is set up, it might instead be called Windows Defender Firewall. If so, treat every instance of "Windows Firewall" below as if it read "Windows Defender Firewall."
  • Select "Turn Windows Firewall on or off" on the left side of the screen.
  • Select the bubble next to "Turn off Windows Firewall (not recommended)".
  • Choose "OK" to save the changes.

  • If none of these things have helped, let me know again.

None of these solutions worked, I'm afraid :c

    Hello,

Give the client time to run on authenticating, like 1-2 minutes, and then click on the "Submit Bug Report" button at the bottom of the launcher (https://www.badlion.net/wiki/how-to-submit-bug-reports).
If it shows the "400" page error, it will tell you to relog from the launcher, but it won't be possible to do it because of the "authenticating" issue that prevents you from clicking on the settings button to then click on Logout. In that case, go to https://www.badlion.net/forum/category/108 and make a new thread. Explain the problem in detail and provide screenshots. The tech support team might ask you to upload logs manually. Once you have submitted a bug report, check it once every few hours or so. They might leave some instructions on what to do next.
