So, I have played badlion for a while now, and one of the things i liked most was the fps. Recently, badlion, and minecraft in general has been lag spiking REALLY badly. This means that it is almost impossible to play. I have no viruses {according to malwarebytes}, and no settings have been changed.

Similarly, I have followed every tutorial out there. Should I reinstall minecraft?

Hello,

I'd suggest resetting Optifine configuration (ESC -> Options -> Video Settings -> Other -> Reset Video Settings) and then re-doing them. If you want to use the best settings to improve performance, you may need to use Google for online examples.

Use lower resolution texture packs.

Try allocating more memory for Minecraft and Badlion Client.

Do frequent malware scans with an antivirus program to ensure no malicious programs are consuming computer resources. Do it with at least two different applications.

Update graphics drivers.

Open the graphics control panel and change settings to get the best possible performance. You may need to use Google. I don't know which graphics card your computer has.
