Memory allocation bug
Posted on 20 February 2020 - 04:54 PM
The memory allocation setting seems to be broken. Allocated 4gbs, then 6. The same problem occurs. Top right of f3 screen says allocated: 98% - 100% (those are the ranges I'm getting) I have 16gb of ram. Tried sending in a bug report and i"m getting a 400 error no matter if I log out or log in.Posted on 20 February 2020 - 06:38 PM
Hello,(!) "Allocated memory" is the amount of system RAM that has been assigned to Minecraft. When/if it reaches 100%, that simply means Minecraft has hit its memory cap. It isn't exactly a "bad" thing. It just means that the game is using up all the memory it was given.
You should be looking at the "Used Memory" part. If it gets close to 100%, then you should start allocating more RAM, and if it doesn't help, then submit a bug report - https://www.badlion.net/wiki/out-of-memory
If is is showing the "400 Bad Request" error, log out from the launcher and then log back in and then try submitting a bug report.
