My idea is to add the Sword Blocking Combat Mod as an option to the Badlion Client. It readds sword blocking, the old damage and basically everything you would want. It would be an opportunity to establish a community for players who want to play with the old combat system but also want to enjoy the advantages of the new Minecraft versions instead of being stuck in 1.7.10 or 1.8.9 forever. Every server that uses this mod is only able to accept players with the mod. With Mojang not wanting to return to the old combat system, Badlion Client is the best option to distribute this mod, because it is a widely spread client.

this would be dificault as everyone on the server would need badlion, just use the plugin for servers, just go to getbukkit.org and download the spigot version for your version and then download the plugin, from google, and place it in plugins folder of server directory, i trust you already know how to host a server. this is not perfect solution but no one wants to download forge and one mod to play a server. the plugin is the same as the mod anyway, no mods add the blockhitting, they just give a shield for a second and disable cooldown. also most badlion features are cosmetic, and if they added this way of blockhitting to 1.9+ it may be bannable, most servers use this plugin unless they want the cooldown.

Yes, not everyone wants to download forge. That is why I want it in the Badlion client. I know, the servers would have to install forge but the servers just need to install it once. And the plugin may remove the cooldown but it does not solve the most important issues with the 1.9+ combat system. I want to establish a new community of players, who play with this mod on a regular. And the first step to do that would be to make it very easily accessible. That's why I'm appealing to Badlion.
