whenever i press the play tab i notice that i verions arent there so when it launches it says
error checking for jar updates

Hello,

Have you tried restarting your computer? I've had this issue before and I solved it by simply restarting the computer.
If restarting hasn't helped, make sure that you have a stable internet connection, and make sure that your firewall and antivirus aren't blocking Badlion Client connections. Also, make sure that you’re not using any VPNs.
