I saw a thread by staff saying installing optifine will have it detected by BLC, but I do not see the shaders button. Help?

Hello,

That's not how it works.
Badlion Client won't detect Optifine on your computer. Developers manually have to add Optifine to Badlion Client.

Optifine will be added once a stable version of it comes out. So far there have been preview/unstable versions.
