We really need a update for optifine on badlion 1.8.9 for some cool features :- Better ressources pack support
… the most popular hypixel skyblock ressouces pack use some feature not available on current optifine used (custom texture on compactors is not visible currently)
… emissives textures is really cool (example of NewDefault+ : https://media.forgecdn.net/attachments/252/279/2019-05-11_13.png )
- Better shader support
… the most shaders have a lot of bugs on current optifine used by badlion
so please update optifine to 1.8.9 HD U L5 :(

This is not what seems to be happening, it's been more than three months since they haven't updated optifine … Maybe version 1.8 is too old to attract attention … or either update optifine on badlion require work on compatibility (I had already managed to launch version 1.8 with the last version of optifine by forcing a little … but I got a crash xD)Posted on 23 March 2020 - 02:06 PM

It has been mentioned before that Optifine will be updated at some point in the future. Right now there are more important things for developers to do.Also, updating Optifine on Badlion Client is not an easy task.
