My Chat is way too small even with vanilla setting to max height and width, new chat's settings are also on max. My default Screen resolution is 3200x1800. It's not really a big deal it just annoys me since I can't really read the chat that well since it's too small so I usually can't tell whenever someone is trying to talk to me.

There's also a separate chat mod that's not related to new chat or vanilla, that might be affecting your size.
