Badlion Server Turns Two

LOL

I'd write up a post for this thread, but I'm honestly too lazy and wouldn't want to write an incomplete post summing up my time with Badlion. Maybe another day…

Im happy this server has made it so far. I remember going on this server all day and having fun with my friends.

As for the servers, the servers should be more region based. Instead of having NA and NA 2 (or whatever) there should be US East, US West, ect..

I've been playing Badlion actively for 8 month and had started very early 2014. One of my IRL friends ( TarynTheZombie ) had a small bet going on for a donor rank with me, so he led me onto Badlion Network - which still at that time averaged 100-200 players.

Later on that year I was cleaning out my saved servers and I happened to find Badlion, so I decided to join and have another look. I really don't remember what happened from there, but I remember I did not know how to join Ranked / Unranked Matches, so I used to get my kit ready and go into FFA and spam the chat yelling "END FFA", lol. After I had learned the basics I started to get addicted - voting 20 times everyday just to get extra Ranked Matches. - And that's when I donated.

I have been a donor for a good 4 month at least now (Check my "Donation issues" Thread for specific date.) I have seen Badlion progress, update, transform into what it has become today. It's been a heck of a long ride and I hope it won't stop anytime soon since the fun has only just begone ( Cheesy line much? )

I just want to thank a few people who have made my Badlion experience better:

@MasterGberry & @Archybot: Best server owners I've ever seen! If it where not for you spending so much time on this fantastic server, I don't know what I would do in my spare time.

@TarynTheZombie: Thanks for showing me this server I guess..?

@freekiller: I love talking to say, even if it's just saying "o/" or "Halo" :D

@MrGilzor: #BaeMod, Gilzor, you I think are the best person I get along with on the server, you always help me when I need, you always answer my curious questions and your an all together fantastic person to talk to, <3

Thank yo everyone for making this experience possible, love you all

Ill write out my whole story here cause I got nothing better to do atm.

2012: It was January and my friend told me about this really cool sounding gamemode called McPvP Hunger games(Called something else now). He explained it to me in depth and I thought it sounded like the coolest thing ever. For the next 2 weeks, we binge-played it and progressively got better. One day, we realized that someone was drinking soup instantly and wasn't dying. We did more research and found that there is a plugin that lets you heal off of soup. We heard of these legends who could "Hotkey" and completely destroy everyone. I found that there were these practice servers called kit pvp servers and I began to play on a lot, improving how I hotkeyed. One day in late 2012, a skype friend of mine told me that the servers I played on were crap(and he was right xD). He showed me this server called "KitPvP", which was the first soup practice server. I fell in love with the server and began to play it heavily.

2013: I had almost "mastered" hotkeying by now, making no to little mistakes. This is the year where I began to pass my skype around MineHQ and got to know a lot of people that I still consider some of my best friends(This is where I met @stheegala). I began to get to know the community better and better and fell in love with the player base(this is before I knew what was going on in MineHQ's high staff). I had some really rough times this year later in decenber, so I would like to thank a special individual that some of you may have heard of in the MineHQ community: DeliciousDynamix. He currently doesn't play as he is too busy, but if it weren't for him, I wouldn't be sitting here typing this today. I can't thank him enough. Anyways, I began to keep perfecting my skills.

2014: This was the year I found out about badlion and I also got staff on MineHQ(That was a 6 day long thing, I got demoted quickly, not discussing this here). I saw a video of someone playing the iron OCN ladder on youtube and I thought: This would be super easy to destroy some nubz!!!!!! I joined the hub but saw that they had a soup PvP server. I got distracted and joined that instead, playing more and more. I applied for staff in the summertime, but I didn't get staff cause no one knew me. I decided to apply later this year and to my surprise, I became staff here! I never thought I would get the opportunity and I can't be thankful enough.

2015: nothing extremely notable happened here, just normal business.

People I wanna thank: I wanna thank stheegala for encouraging me to play badlion more and more and become a part of this community. He is the reason that I decided to apply for staff in the first place and I got to get to know all of you.

I wanna just thank the administration for being there for us and caring about us in general. This is the best staff team I have ever been a part of. We are so lucky to have a kind/hard-working/kinda-really-intimidating-in-teamspeak @Archybot for an owner.

I <3 you all and hope that I have a couple more years to come on Badlion.
